Content Policy

LoreLoom is a creative storytelling platform where imagination comes first. These guidelines explain the standards every character and story follows, how our moderation keeps the community safe, and how we ensure everything you browse in public is welcoming and appropriate.

1. Room to create

LoreLoom gives writers real creative range — complex characters, high-stakes drama, and mature storytelling all have a place, provided they respect the firm limits in section 4 and our community standards. We aim to support your imagination while keeping the platform safe, lawful, and respectful for everyone who uses it.

2. A safe-for-work public experience

Everything you can browse without signing in — the home page, the public Discover gallery, and public preview pages — is kept strictly safe for work. Character avatars, names, and public descriptions in these areas are screened before they appear. Any character with a mature rating is hidden from public galleries and search engines and placed behind a signed-in, age-appropriate experience. Advertising is only ever shown alongside this safe-for-work content, never next to mature material.

3. Automated & human moderation

• Image moderation. Every uploaded character avatar and image is screened and must be safe for work. Nudity, sexual imagery, and graphic violence are never permitted as images anywhere on LoreLoom — this applies to every user, including those who have enabled mature content. Mature themes are supported in text only.
• Text moderation. Names, taglines, and public descriptions are screened so they stay safe for work in public listings. Conversations are moderated against the standards in this policy, including the firm limits below.
• Audience controls. Characters flagged as mature are excluded from public galleries and search engines. Their mature, text-based roleplay is only available to signed-in users who are 18 or older and have turned on mature content in their settings — everyone else browses a fully safe-for-work experience.

4. Prohibited content

Regardless of a character's maturity rating, the following are never allowed anywhere on LoreLoom — public or private, in a description or in chat:

• Any sexual or suggestive content involving minors, or characters depicted as minors.
• Content that promotes terrorism, human trafficking, or real-world violence against people.
• Non-consensual sexual content presented as real, or content depicting real, identifiable people in explicit scenarios without consent.
• Illegal content, or content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Hate speech or harassment targeting people based on protected characteristics.

5. Reporting

If you encounter content that violates this policy, please report it through our Contact page. We review reports and take action, including removing content and suspending accounts.

6. Enforcement

Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, or account termination. Serious violations, such as content involving minors, are reported to the appropriate authorities.
